Dietitian License Guides

What every state issues and what it asks of a dietitian licensed elsewhere, for all 50 states and DC.

Forty-five jurisdictions issue a dietitian license or certification, three only protect the title, and three issue nothing. Nineteen states have enacted the Dietitian Compact, but none issues privileges yet. Each guide covers what the state issues, whether practice or only the title is restricted, endorsement, telehealth, provisional permits, fingerprints, and renewal. Every fact links to its source; anything we could not confirm is marked as not verified rather than guessed.

New to the compact? Where the Dietitian Compact stands.

Verified October 9, 2026. The board decides every application; confirm with it before you rely on a detail.
